As a Program Manager, you are responsible for leading programs and/or portfolios to guarantee the realization of agreed objectives in line with established standards regarding time, quality, and costs. You will direct, coordinate, and follow up on the concrete initiatives within the program or portfolio based on the PMO multi-year planning.
You ensure that project proposals align with the VIBE strategy and demonstrably contribute to organizational goals. Additionally, you support project leaders in coordinating and implementing their projects according to PMO planning and agreements. Within the PMO planning process, you monitor that projects are scheduled according to intended timelines.
You monitor program or portfolio execution and report to management on program progress and on structural issues or opportunities that have a strategic impact. Efficient management of resources to ensure optimal use is among your responsibilities. You stimulate, follow up on, and improve the quality of PMO operations.
Specifically for program management, you coordinate program preparation to ensure efficient and sustainable implementation. You initiate, lead, and follow up on program implementation to achieve policy and organizational objectives.
This role is situated within the Portfolio Management Office (PMO), which provides an approach and agreement framework ensuring projects started contribute to our goals. The PMO maintains oversight of deployed people and resources, and monitors project planning and timing, facilitating faster and better results. As a program manager, you are part of the PMO team that supports this approach and oversees agreements. You report content-wise to your sponsor and steering committee and the Strategic PMO board, and you are hierarchically managed by the corporate portfolio manager.
